The verse “Our Lord said, We have wronged ourselves…” has been the focus of discussions between Shiite and Sunni commentators. The most important challenge of this verse is to accurately explain the concept of “injustice” in the confession of Prophet Adam (AS) and its relation to the status of infallibility. The present study, with a comparative-analytical approach and using the method of semantics, seeks to reinterpret this concept based on the narrative sources of the two sects and the contextual analysis of the relevant verses. In this study, key words such as “injustice”, “sin” and “disobedience” are examined based on lexical and narrative sources and it has been shown that “sin” in the word does not mean a legal sin, but rather, in essence, refers to the concept of “the consequence and consequence of an act.” Accordingly, the fall of Prophet Adam (AS) was not in the form of opposition to Rumi's prohibition, but rather had a natural and educational consequence and can be interpreted in the realm of "abandoning the first" and "defeat of the interest". A contextual analysis of the verses, especially the verse "So Adam disobeyed his Lord and he went astray", shows that "ghav" along with "asy" indicates "deviation from growth" and "ignorance of the end", not divine wrath or committing a terminological sin. Comparative findings of Shiite and Sunni traditions also indicate that both interpretative streams, despite minor differences in the narration of traditions, agree on the fact that the event was predestined,
